Little Stars in the Press!

A group of talented young football stars had a special visitor this weekend – Salford FC midfielder Jamie Rother.

The talented midfielder was at Little Stars at Walkden High School to pass on his tricks of the trade to keen youngsters who are all dreaming of becoming the next Wayne Rooney or Sergio Aguero.

Jamie, formerly of Oldham Athletic and FC United, played a part in the coaching sessions which have been fully booked since January.Jamie Rother said: “The coaches here at Little Stars are doing a great job with the youngsters. I was surprised at how well the coach controlled the groups – I thought it was going to be chaos! All the children seemed to love it – they performed all the games with a big smile on their faces.”Little Stars classes at Walkden have been fully booked since they started in January with the popular multi-skills and football sessions proving a hit with youngsters and parents alike.

Kenny Sellstrom from Walkden said “My Little lad looks forward to the sessions every week. The coaches are excellent with the children.”

Laura Thorpe of Boothstown said: “My Son loves going to Little Stars. The staff at Little Stars a
re really good with all the little ones. They seem to use a different theme each week which really engages all of the children. My little boy really looks forward to every session. His coordination and his confidence seem to be improving every week, as well as his football skills!”
